The mission of St. Luke Athletics is to provide the children of  St. Luke parish and school in 3rd through 8th grade the opportunity to play CYO sports in the Dayton area under Christian leadership and supervision.

SPORTS AT SAINT LUKE - A PARISH MINISTRY

Outside of gathering for weekend mass to affirm and grow in faith, Catholics come together in sizeable and consistent number as players, coaches, officials, parents, and spectators in youth-sport activities.  In such moments, Saint Luke’s parish-gym banner, Faith and Christian Witness in Athletics, sums up the opportunity and challenge of connecting God’s presence, our Catholic identity and the everyday, natural play of children.  A team-practice can witness the fundamentals of faith, and coach basic skills. One’s contribution to a game-win and a successful season can be measured in character formation and Christian behavior, and points-scored.  Fun and faith, competiveness and Christian-community, are components not opponents, in playing-well and living-well, in good-skills and good-example, in a team-victory and individual virtue and values.  Welcome to  Catholic Youth Organization athletics  - a parish ministry at Saint Luke.    - Fr.
